BuildCalc was created to provide zero-latency, high-precision calculation tools for jobsite and estimating workflows.
Every mathematical calculation executes entirely within your browser runtime using client-side TypeScript. We do not transmit or log your room dimensions or building plans to remote servers. This guarantees true 0-millisecond feedback and complete user privacy.
Building Code Standards & Conformity
Our calculation algorithms follow established North American engineering building codes:
- International Residential Code (IRC): Section R311.7 stair geometry requirements (max 7.75" rise, min 10.0" tread) and R905 roof slope guidelines.
- American Concrete Institute (ACI): Volumetric standard sizing and ACI 318 tension lap splice requirements (40 × bar diameter) for reinforcing steel.
- ASTM International: ASTM A615 / A706 for carbon-steel deformed rebar and ASTM C270 mortar proportions (Types M, S, N, O).
